Season Opener Boogie - 2008/03/13 13:14 We're just three weeks away from the Season Opener Boogie, so if anyone has any suggestions for the boogie, lets hear them! John Mordica wants to put together a jam session, so if anyone has any instruments, bring 'em out and we'll get some good entertainment going. So far, on the guitar, we've got John M., John H. and Al (the airport owner). Let's get a list going.

The GOONS will be out jumping through the weekend and we'll also have freefly load organizing and novelty jumps with Joe Jackson. The sky's the limit, so if there is anything else that anyone wants to see at the boogie (minus the DC-9 jet), just let me know.

We will be doing a bonfire, but we will definitely need some firewood. If anyone's got any to spare, let me know. If there is interest, I'd love to put together some 4-way scrambles. Ashley, if you want to start drumming up interest in that, that'd be great.

Deanna, we probably can't do first one manifested gets to jump for free, cause it will be mayhem at the front door, but how about we choose someone at randomly from load 1 on Saturday to receive discounted jumps all weekend?

Ashley, do you think you and Mark could come up with some food ideas for the weekend?

I can't wait!

Re:Season Opener Boogie - 2008/04/03 09:49 Hey Joe! WhasssUp?

I like your forecast a whole lot better than The Weather Channel and NOAA/National Weather Service! I say we go with your's. Could you do us one favor, please sir? Could you add a light and variable wind to that, please? I HATE no wind landings! I always end up looking like this....

Re:Season Opener Boogie - 2008/04/03 12:25 The boogie excitement is quickly growing around here. We are starting at noon on Friday, and it sounds like we'll have a good crowd out early -- and the weekday minimum on the Beech is still only four people!

Mark, I pulled the turkey out of the freezer, so it should be all ready to go for Saturday night.

Please note that we'll be off to a bright and early start on Saturday since our first three tandems of the day have to be WHEELS-UP at 9:15am. (It's a wedding party, including the groom, so we can't make them late. ) That's right -- a guarenteed turbine load as soon as we open!
