Thanksgiving Weekend - 2007/11/14 12:45Inquiring minds want to know.... Will the DZ be open the Saturday and Sunday following Thanksgiving? I for one certainly hope so. But I would also understand if Jo and Paul wanted a couple of days off. EG
BTW - Gratuitous Picture of "My Girls"!

Re:Thanksgiving Weekend - 2007/11/14 14:01They better be open! And if not - I'll gladly run manifest so long as I can sneak away for a jump or two?
Great picture!!!! That was a neat feeling, I can't wait to get Jessie back in the air again!

Re:Thanksgiving Weekend - 2007/11/14 14:06I know that Suzette, Ashley and myself will be out that weekend. Add you to the mix and that's a Cessna load!!! I know that there is more coming out that weekend so it will have to be the Beech as long as we have a pilot!!!
WOW, what a picture. Who are those two beautiful young ladies? A picture like that would make a father grin ear to ear!!!

Re:Thanksgiving Weekend - 2007/11/14 14:33Hey, Cessna 182, Beech 99, it's all the same to me! As long as we're jumpin...I'm there. Although, I might be coming in a little faster than normal on my landings, due to the extra weight I plan on gaining from overeating on Thursday!
WooHoo!
And you are so correct! I grin every time I look at the pictures of my girls jumping together. One of these days, we'll get Jessie licensed so we can all jump together and really have some fun!
...and yes, another Gratuitous Picture....

Re:Thanksgiving Weekend - 2007/11/16 08:21I strive for perfection and retardation. Dont' let me idiocracy fool you. Ambidextrious people are strange and I am ambidextrious so using the Algebra Proof Communicative Property, on could infer that I am in fact strange.
Re:Thanksgiving Weekend - 2007/11/16 11:23Okay DNR, now you're starting to worry me a little! Repeat after me.... This is my Rifle, This is my Gun, This one's for Fighting, This one's for Fun! I think I'll pass on using your "Gun", thanks just the same. LOL
Re:Thanksgiving Weekend - 2007/11/16 13:06Well DNR, unfortunately they don't have a stamp for that. 'Bout the best you can expect is that, by learning it, you keep your Drill Sergeant from "Stamping" you! LOL

Re:Thanksgiving Weekend - 2007/11/16 13:23I tried to get in the Army and Marines and was kindly denied. I was hoping it was my brain but they said I couldn't because of my ACL surgeries.
So I'm a bit upset you're not going to be out there this weekend because its supposed to be nice outside. How about getting your ace out there on Sunday atleast (hence, kill your deer on Saturday.....)...You can see my new canopy!!

Re:Thanksgiving Weekend - 2007/11/16 16:00Bummer about the ACL's. But, what are you gonna do?
Heck, that's what I was trying to do last weekend! And it's what I'll be trying to do this weekend as well. Ashley brought my rig by the house for me last night. I gotta tell you, Marcus did a fantastic job on it. Installed my Cypress, sewed on a new BOC and re-sewed a loose section of the webbing for the leg strap. It looks and feels like new!
I can't wait to see the rig. What is it? Have you jumped it much yet? About the only thing I don't like about mine is that goofy Dolphin on the back. I'm thinking of having Marcus sew an American Flag patch over the top of it to hide it! LOL
Maybe see you Sunday, but definitely the next weekend.
The talented and charming John Wall will be flying the 182 for us all day Saturday. Then on Sunday we have our handsome and steady pilot Dave to fly THE BEECH! Woo hoo! So come one, come all, let's have some fun. Right now weather is looking sunny and chilly so don't forget your gloves!

Re:Thanksgiving Weekend - 2007/11/26 09:35Just a quick thank you to all for the fun jumps on Saturday! Even though they didn't go as planned, the jumps were still fun. Thanks again everyone!
