Hello all... My name is Gary Fletcher. I'm an AFF Instructor/Videographer/Photographer from Freefall Express Skydiving down in Mt. Vernon. Anyway, I'm just checking in to see what all is going on up in your neck of the woods.
I invite all of you skydivers to logon to our little Skydiving Forum we have down south. It's called "Industrial Haze". We have about 100 current members with representatives from Freefall Express - Southwest Missouri, Skydive SkyRanch - Northwest Arkansas, Skydive KC, MRVS & KC Skydiving Center - Northwest Missouri, Quantum Leap - Northeast Missouri, Skydive Kansas - Northeast Kansas, AC/DZ - Central Kansas and a few others. Most of you will know many of the users. Some of you will all ready be members. Anyway, it's a way for all of us local midwest skydivers to keep up with what's going on at each of the dropzones from week to week and we do a lot of planning and such for events and that nature and it's a way to keep up to date on all of that. Anyhow, we're always looking for new "quality" members that want to discuss skydiving. Basically, it's similar to Dropzone.com but where everyone KNOWS everyone and it's skydivers ONLY.
The way it works is you register for membership and then one of the moderators OK's your account and sends an email to you letting you know you have permission to enter the forums. At that point you log on to the boards and you're able to see the "New Members" area's only. From here basically we'd like for you to introduce yourself to the members and let them know who you are and where you jump. Our only criteria for gaining access is that you are a local skydiver, so once you introduce yourself to the boards a current member will vouch for you that you are who you say you are. So, if you don't post an introduction, no one can vouch for you, thus you will gain no access.
Once someone has vouched that you are who you say you are, you will be granted access to the forums, which, btw are quite extensive. We have hundreds of posts and replies each and every day. We have a great group of skydivers here and are always looking for more skydivers to grace our forums. Give it a try, I'll bet you'd like it. Anyway, come check us out. It's a bit of a pain gaining access but once you're in, it's well worth it. Just ask any of our current members.
