Old AFF program vs. new student program - 2008/09/04 13:23 I am wondering how this is gonna work. I did 5 AFF dives (was about to go from two to just one instructor) under the old AFF program that QL had going in 2003. I want to return to QL as a student and one day, somewhere complete the student program with the goal of obtaining my "A" license. With the program changed, what credit or jumps will count towards the new student program. Thanks for any advice or input.

Re:Old AFF program vs. new student program - 2008/09/04 22:37 If 2003 was the last time you jumped, then you basically need to take ground school and start over again. Now those jumps you did in 2003 count towards your A license, but as far as progressing through the 7 levels of AFF, you'll need to do them all again. Now if you really rock on your jumps, your instructor may let you skip a level with the DZO/S&TA approval, but if you haven't jumped since 2003, you'll be doing the 7 levels of AFF again. Chime in if anyone thinks any differently.
