Weekend Recap 11/25/07 - 2007/11/27 18:44There is only one word to describe this last weekend at the DZ - COLD!!!! Regardless, we had a crew ready to get some air time and that we did!
We had enough people to make a couple Beech loads on Saturday and enough blue skies to get some real altitude before resorting to hop and pops...
It's my prediction that less and less people will be willing to take the camera step or front float on the Beech for the next couple months, but Colleen looks so cute waiting to freeze her rear off so who could blame her!
We even had 2 AFF's come out on Sunday - but due to clouds we weren't able to get them up for their jumps just yet. Mark, Bag and Joe were great teachers and we couldn't of made it without them. You guys rock!
It's more and more apparent that it will take more then cold weather to keep this gang away! Here's to a winter of blue skies and cold jumps!
See you all this weekend!
Bag - I forgot to get pictures from you before we left! Feel free to put some up or I'll add them after this weekend

In fact, I'm thinking we may have just invented a new formation. A variant on the "Hybrid" or maybe on the "Open Accordian". It looks like the beginning of a "Freefly Open Accordian"! LOL
Hell, I don't care one way or the other. I'm just glad we got to jump!

Re:Weekend Recap 11/25/07 - 2007/11/29 10:53So much happened at once, but one thing i knew was I was in two way with Ashley and then she was gone; she used me in the air and then left me for others. So I tracked away sadly only after rodeoing over the top of her and hitting her ace. Such an icy and remorsed move Ash, I'm still bitter.
Gamble, you should have seen the look on my face after we botched that exit. That was definitely a new exit; I'm still unsure how to explain that in my logbook..any thoughts?DNR

Re:Weekend Recap 11/25/07 - 2007/11/29 11:26We were distracted by the way your body was flailing about pivoting around your head like some sort of skydiving rag doll...
I can tell you two things I know contributed to it. 1) I know I didn't get my left arm lifted up high enough on the exit which caused the relative wind/prop blast to catch me from the wrong side. 2) When we left the door, I pushed off with my left leg, sticking my right foot out to start the exit and caught Ashley's left leg, and didn't get both legs out straight, fast enough to keep me from going under the group. ( I think in the future, I need to push off with my right leg and that way my left leg will be catching the air first.)
As far as Mark goes, I think Ashley has covered it nicely! ROFLMAO. Besides, there's no weight there to get him thrown off by the wind (Relative, Prop, or Actual)!
