Quantum Leap Weekly Update February 16th, 2007

Well, Spring is just around the corner, and boy are we ready for it!  Plans are well underway for many cool events for 2007.  We look forward to hearing any suggestions as to what new (and old) things you would like to see at the dropzone.  Please feel free to post them on the forums at www.skydivestlouis.com.

Speaking of the website, we have done a large overhaul of it and hope you like the improvements.  In addition to the forums, we have added an online shopping section, where you can purchase gift certificates and jump tickets.  We have also added an Online Reservation System to allow potential customers to book their skydive online.  We hope that this will increase the number of students that jump with us.  We've also added a new photo gallery and welcome any additions.  If you have any photos that you would like to share, please e-mail them to us.

We are offering discounted jump packages for 2007.  We are offering 100-jump packages for $2000.  By prepaying for 100 jumps, you will save $4 per jump off the normal lift ticket price to 14,000 feet!  This will also lock in that price, so even if jump ticket prices go up in the middle of the summer, you’ll still get to jump for $20.  Even better, this is not a use-it-or-lose-it package like many other DZs offer.  If, at the end of 2007, you haven’t made all 100 jumps, the unused money from your package will remain on your account and can be used to purchase tickets at the normal price.  There is no limit to the number packages that you can purchase.  We are also offering 50-jump packages for $1100.

As many of you already know, our own Nick Batsch has been appointed to the new Team Extreme.  Team Extreme is the competition team of the World Parabatic Swoop Team and will travel the globe producing shows, leading expeditions and competing. Among other events the team will be training to compete at the PST's Air Festival featuring the Canopy Piloting Cup and the PST Championships.  Congratulations Nick!

Safety Day 2007 is just around the corner.  We will be hosting Safety Day on March 10th, starting at 9am.  The activities for the day will included some great seminars and discussions led by Quantum Leap staff and the infamous GOON SQUAD!  If anybody has any ideas or suggestions that they would like to see, please let us know.

After the day's activities and jumping, we will be heading over to the campground for more after-hours discussion and entertainment around the campfire.  We look forward to seeing everyone there.

As always, we look forward to seeing you all at the DZ.  Blue Skies!
