Skydiving Center Weekly Update November 19th, 2007 |
|
There is just so much going on at the DZ now a days I think we are going to have to start putting out updated once a week! So, we have some catching up to do… This is all new to me so pardon me while I work out the kinks, and feel free to throw me some suggestions!
For starters, WOW, who knew that we would be opening the door early on the plane for fresh air in November?! We’ve had some great weather and a strong group of fun jumps who aren’t letting the nippy temps keep them away.
After much discussion Mark took his terminal velocity withdrawn Julie on a tandem so she could keep heeling a sore knee. It’s always entertaining to see a jumper go on a tandem, getting on the plane with no rig on, what an eerie feeling!

We have certainly kept our tandem and AFF instructors busy! It seems no matter how few tandems we have scheduled more and more start showing up. Thanks to everyone who brought friends and family with them the past few weeks – Neil and Kyle have now gone from tandem passengers, to AFF jumpers and now they are dragging in their own tandems!

Very special thanks to John Wall, our fabulous S&TA, for taking the time out to take my little sister on her 2nd tandem.
Joe Jackson must have had something in his system this weekend – not only did he jump the round parachute (why he wanted to do this we still have not figured out) but he also took out his board for some air time.

Just as Marcus thought he would be getting a break from all the packing the Woo Hoo brothers stole Mark and my packer right up off the packing mat and shoved him in AFF!! Cory is a natural, even managing to relax enough to flip us the victory sign off the hill on his very first jump!

Kerry almost thought he was getting away with making his 100th jump without a drop of pie on him. He made it as far as the parking lot before Julie got him with not one, not 2 but 3 pies. Thanks for letting me on your 100th jump Kerry – here’s to 100 more!

Mother nature FINALLY cooperated and let Mark make his 500th jump! I’m not sure what he was thinking – but he quickly learned that keeping his jumpsuit on or not we weren’t going to let him get away without a messy celebration!!

We are looking strong for this upcoming weekend – 2 days of the Beech and blue skies are just around the corner – see you all Saturday!
